Zotero’s add-on dialog in google docs disapears (and how I “solved” it)

I come right here with a query and a answer if everyone takes place to have a comparable trouble.

If I build a new google document in drive (I am utilizing Firefox), when I click on Zotero’s add-on (in google docs) I can see the dialog “add/edit citation, bibliography, preferences” and so on. Having said that, when following the “Moving Documents with Zotero Citations In between Word Processors” entry, right after I upload the converted file to drive and I open it, I can no longer see something when I press the add-on. I never get any error or loading window, it just does not do something (Debug ID: D790602153). I attempted what I saw in an additional post (Zotero SubMenu will not seem in Google Docs), but I did not function. Also, there is no citation dialog opened in the background.

The very same takes place with the grey “Z” symbol in google docs. If it is a made google drive document, it responds and I can introduce a new citation. In contrast, if the document has been uploaded, the button acts as dead.

How I “solved” it.

I followed the “Moving Documents with Zotero Citations In between Word Processors”, except that as an alternative of uploading it to google drive, I made a new blank document. I copied/pasted it there and then pressed the refreshed button in the zotero’s add-on. Fundamentally, stay clear of uploading, due to the fact it appears it is what is causing the trouble.

I never know why it stops functioning when I upload the document, all the things ought to be updated, I attempted reinstalling without having uninstalling and re-enabling the add-ons.

I hope this can be helpful if everyone has this trouble and I also hope somebody can support me resolve it in a much better way.
