It’s an up and down roller coaster here in the upper Midwest from late fall-like temperatures last week to early summer-like temperatures to start this week. All of this bouncing around just to fall right back into the colder weather again Thursday.
Monday will be mostly to partly cloudy and a tad hazy. Temperatures will climb towards the low to mid 70’s in the afternoon. Winds will turn from northeast to southeast through the afternoon/evening and they’ll move at 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph.
High pressure will move eastward Monday which is responsible for the southerly flow. Those two factors will combine to bring sunshine and even warmer temperatures Tuesday. Temps are heading north of 80 degrees for just the second time this month.
Plus, it looks like the humidity is back. The muggy meter climbs into the ‘ope it’s humid!’ category for just a day. Dew points will be in the low to mid 60’s Tuesday afternoon before falling back towards the 50’s on Wednesday.
It will be gusty again Tuesday where winds could exceed 35 mph, but outside of that, the weather is rather quiet this week. No rain is expected through the 5-day forecast and the chances that move in for the weekend look less than mediocre as of now.
