COVID-19 risks around Cayuga County

CAYUGA COUNTY, N.Y. (WHCU) – One person who’s tested positive for COVID-19 in Cayuga County was in four businesses over two days, and officials are warning the public of potential exposure to the virus.

The Cayuga County Health Department says if you were at the Auburn Wegmans last Friday between 5:30 and 6, or Prison City Pub, Kohl’s, or Dick’s Sporting Goods on Saturday, also all in Auburn, between 1:30 and 4 o’clock, you should monitor yourself for symptoms of the coronavirus for 14 days from the date of possible exposure. Symptoms may appear two to 14 days after being exposed to the virus.

In addition, the Cayuga County Health Department advising of another possible exposure to COVID-19.

Officials say a patron who was at Lakeside Casino on Cayuga Street in Union Springs last Wednesday between 10AM and 2PM has tested positive for the coronavirus.
